How to enjoy the holiday season without a New Year (fat) hangover...

Sounds odd but eat before drinking. Food in your stomach will absorb the alcohol, keeping you in control & maintaining better judgment, a few drinks could lead to choosing a bowl of peanuts over the crudités or even worse several shooters (and a hangover). Alcohol lowers not just your inhibitions but your blood sugar, which makes your body crave food, so a healthy snack, such as an apple or banana, can help control that urge.

What to Drink - Popular Choices:

  • 12 ounces of light beer: 100 calories

Anything creamy means fat-rich dairy and sweet means calorie-laden sugar, the choice is yours. Mix & match, whatever you choose, sip slowly and enjoy in moderation.
