Are Your New Year resolutions fading with time?

As the cold weather lingers, our bodies instinctively crave high calorie foods to build up a layer of fat to protect us from the cold. Knowing that, try to trick you body into believing it is getting the calories it thinks it needs.

Make sure you are getting good fats into your diet naturally, such as from fish or nuts. Olive oil & safflower oil are also good choices. Ideally, 20 to 30 percent of your daily calories should be from fat.

Don't deny yourself, allow a few low calorie treats with big calorie tastes such as these kid pleasing treats.

While trying to trick our bodies, let’ not trick ourselves into believing its okay to cheat at this time of year because big sweaters and coats will hide the evidence; spring is just around the corner, keep up with the better eating habits and show everyone how the body has renewed itself and is ready to emerge, just like the spring flowers.
